Dr. Kirshenbaum is Board Certified in Pediatrics, Allergy and Immunology and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Kirshenbaum was born in Providence, Rhode Island and has three children. He graduated from Georgetown University of Medicine in 1979. He then entered his Pediatric Internship and residency at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California, an affiliate of the University of San Francisco. During 1981-1982, he served as Chief Resident in this program. From 1982-1986, Dr. Kirshenbaum served as a pediatrician and naval officer. In 1986, he started a Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at the National Institutes of Health. At NIH, Dr. Kirshenbaum continues to do immunology research. Currently, Dr. Kirshenbaum, is on staff at North Arundel, John Hopkins Greater Laurel/Beltsville hospitals. His interests are mast cell growth and development; role of mast cells in infections and mastocytosis.
Neshat Tebyanian, CRNP received her training as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in May, 2008. She has 8 years of experience as a critical care nurse at the University of Maryland Hospital. Neshat also has a bachelor of science degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Anthropology from U.M.B.C. She has joined Allergy and Asthma Health Care part-time and spends the rest of her time at the Governor's Well-Mobile Program, serving to provide basic healthcare to the uninsured. Neshat is the co-founder of the Nurses for Global Health organization at the University of Maryland and is interested in issues of justice in healthcare. She comes to Allergy and Asthma Health Care with the interest in asthma and clinical immunology, and hopes to participate in clinical research in this area.
Dr. Wilson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology and is a member of both the American College and Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Wilson was born in upstate New York and graduated from Ithaca College with a BA in Biology. He completed medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. He then entered an internal medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. Upon completion of his internal medicine residency in 2004, he began a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the National Institutes of Health. His research interests include mast cell activation and the genetics of systemic mastocytosis. He holds academic appointments at NIH and the University of Maryland.
Tamara Santos, RD, LD graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. degree in Dietetics and Biology in 1996. She completed a dietetic internship with The Wood Company at Sacred Heart Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA. Mrs. Santos is a Registered Dietitian and is Licensed Dietitian in the state of Maryland. Mrs. Santos has a strong clinical background in the areas of diabetes, renal disease, pediatrics and weight management. She is a member of the N.K.F., A.D.A. and the Maryland Association of Diabetes Educators. She is currently in the process of obtaining certification as a diabetes educator. She also works as a Renal Dietitian for Gambro Healthcare at Johns Hopkins Bayview and as a clinical dietitian at North Arundel Hospital.
Chase and Shantel have been with Allergy Health Care for close to 10 years. Shantel is the supervisor of the Bowie office and also oversees operations in the billing department. Better known as “Shanny”, she loves spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and she is part of a bowling league. Chase is the supervisor of the Glen Burnie office. She handles the office advertisement and nursing training. Chase will be completing school for emergency medicine in August, 2008 and is getting married on August 23, 2008, in Tennessee.
